PROJECT 365 – 2016
This year I have challenged myself to undertake a 365 photo project. A photograph a day for an entire year.
It has been done many times before by lots of other photographers. In fact my wife has just finished a 365 photo project that she has been engaged in throughout 2015. She has enjoyed recording the memories and keeping an image diary which, in its entirety, is an interesting and intriguing snapshot of our life as a family. Her project and photographic journey caught my imagination on so many levels that I have decided to take up where she left off.
I am really excited to see what images I have at the end of the year but I think I am more excited to be embarking on the journey itself.
2016 is in fact a leap year, so this project will end up being a 366 project. I will get to take a bonus photo on a 29th February.

So ends an epic 365 project. I have really enjoyed the whole process. At times it has been challenging to keep the impetus but I have gained so much by undertaking such a challenge. I have learned a little more about myself and my processes where photography is concerned. Found joy in things that I didn’t think I would. Found places I wouldn’t have found otherwise. Watched my daughter change and continue to grow into a lovely character. She is a delight to be around and will always pose for a photograph for Daddy. More than anything else it has reaffirmed my belief that in order to take interesting images, you have to get out into the world. It’s a stunning place. Whether you’re looking at it through a lens or not.
