I use photography in every aspect of my work, from capturing imagery for the use in illustrative techniques, making digitally manipulated photographic fine art productions, right through to portrait, event and wedding photography.
The ability to anticipate a moment, freeze something in time, an instance or emotion appeals to every part of the artist in me. A single image can become a million different things depending on the postproduction edit/s. Or indeed it can remain that one single beautiful image that was captured in the first instance.
The infinite possibilities that photography provides is the thing that excites and intrigues me as a creative individual. The digital realm makes it very exciting to be working with imagery. In a sense, one is only limited by ones imagination.
Taking an existing photograph as a starting point and deciding what else can be done with it will forever and always be an exhilarating concept as far as I am concerned. One of the most attractive things about photography is the ability to capture a beautiful image in the blink of an eye. The intoxicating concept about having captured that image is the possibilities concerning the myriad of things that one can do with it, whether the changes are complex or subtle.
